Diwali ....prayers, fireworks, decorations, friends, family and food...For a week, health goes out the window! We can be good after Diwali until next month when Thanksgiving rolls around...followed by Christmas and New Years ...lol

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup wheat flour
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup and 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp ghee
- Ghee for frying
- Mix wheat flour, cardamom, and salt in a large bowl
- Combine sugar, ghee and milk in a small saucepan and bring it to boil until sugar is melted. Then let it cool it is at a lukewarm temperature
- Add the sugar syrup to the wheat flour mixture and kneed in to a stiff dough
- Roll out dough until it is about 5mm thick and cut into diamonds with a pizza cutter.
- Let this sit for about 20 minutes
- Heat ghee for frying and fry diamond pieces until golden brown
