Corn Rotla

Ingredients
- 2 cups corn flour
- 1/2 - 1 cup hot water
- 1/2 tsp Salt (optional)
- 1 tbsp White flour
- 1 tsp ghee
- Add 1/2 cup hot water to corn flour and allow it to soak in for a few minutes. Massage in dough and add hot water if needed until texture is that of ‘Play Doh’
- Add salt if wanted and mix
- Let the dough sit for about 10 minutes
- Make 4 balls. With each ball, press out until they become flat like rotis but thicker (no need for a rolling pin). Use white flour to keep this dough from sticking
- Cook both sides on a pan, tava or clay tava until browned. Place over open flame for a few seconds until it balloons up a bit
- Apply a little bit of ghee on top
Serve hot with shaak.
